Gottlieb Resigns as Head of FDA

Scott Gottlieb, head of the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA), is resigning from his post. Gottlieb was sworn in as the 23rd commissioner of the agency in May 2017. Under his leadership, the agency had started a high-profile crackdown on e-cigarettes companies marketing products to teens. Also under his watch, FDA issued a proposed rule that would update regulatory requirements for most sunscreen products in the US....
